Barbara Ferris, of Millis, Massachusetts, formerly of Weston, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on September 14, 1937, to Silvio and Evelyn Tucci, Barbara was the heart of her family and a cherished presence in every life she touched.
She was the beloved wife of Henry (Hank) Joseph Ferris Jr. and the devoted mother of three children: Theresa Bartels, Patrick Ferris (Donna), and Hank Ferris (Kristin). Her greatest joy came from her role as Grandma to her grandchildren: Danielle (Doug) Weaver, Ashley (Nate) Rawson, Chelsea (Zach) Bates, Jonathan Ferris, and Catherine (Vinny) DuBois, and her great-grandchildren, Henry, Michael, Vincent Jr, Hudson, Kyla, Ella, and Kennedy each of whom she adored.
Among Barbara's gifts were storytelling - she lived to share the memories, traditions, and laughter of her family, always with warmth and a twinkle in her eye, taking care of others, and gift giving – she always spent hours making sure she chose the perfect gift. Her love for her family was boundless and unwavering.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Connie Karnavas, Marcia Tucci, and Jackie Fealy, and is survived by her sister Julie Hewitt, brothers Alan Tucci and James Tucci, and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Barbara's legacy is one of love, resilience, and connection - she leaves behind a family rooted in the values she lived by every day.
A private burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, where Barbara will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Hank.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html) in Barbara's memory.

Dear Hank - I never had the pleasure of meeting your mom, but from everything I've heard - and from knowing you - it's clear she was a beautiful soul. You did so much for her in her final months, and I hope you find comfort in knowing that. That kind of love is never lost. Praying for peace as you navigate through this difficult time. You're a good man Hank. Much Love - Raegan

To Hank and the family. Even though we never had the pleasure of meeting Barbara, we were introduced to her as Hank shared stories of both mom and dad. We learned about how she was generous in spirit and kindness. Both parents raised a gentleman who is respected and appreciated by us who worked with him. We share your loss with your family, Hank, and send our deepest sympathies.
