Richard L. “Skip” Palmer, Sr. entered into eternal rest on November 24, 2022, in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was born on August 29, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas to E. Leo Palmer and W. Mae Homann Palmer.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana 71118. Officiating the service will be Rev. Gary Palmer. Interment will be held in Stonewall Cemetery, 5187 LA-3276, Stonewall, LA 71078.
Skip was preceded in death by his parents. Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Richard L. “Rick” Palmer, Jr. and fiancée Melodi, and William T. “Tim” Palmer and wife Kirsten; grandchildren, Haley McMackins and husband Quentin, Alexis Palmer, Alaina Palmer, Will Palmer, and Victoria Palmer; along with great-granddaughter, Maeve McMackins.
Honoring Skip as pallbearers will be Will Palmer, Layton Palmer, Payton Palmer, William Horton, Andrew Horton, Ryan Wiggs, Aidan Wiggs, and Scott Head.
