It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Richard Charles LeFave, (AKA Rick) a beloved brother, husband, father, and friend. He came into this world at 13lbs 4oz and had the distinction of being the biggest baby born in that hospital at that time! Rick grew to become a giant of a man with a gentle warmth, a soft-kindness and an incredible wit that he used to lighten the mood regardless of the occasion.
He moved to Exeter, NH in 1979, after his father's retirement from the United States Air Force and graduated from Exeter High School, Class of 1982. He was a wonderfully talented artist and musician who loved to create thought-provoking lyrics and set them to music on his guitar. That talent came from a deep place in his heart which one could feel in all he did.
Rick worked as an assistant-manager/manager at different businesses in and around Exeter. This and spending time with his two boys kept him grounded. They could not have asked for a more talented, hard-working, fun-loving father.
Rick is survived by his wife, Kimberly, and his sons; Jacob and Nathaniel; his mother Mary Louise LeFave and eight siblings: Robert, Denise, Joanne, Ronald, Bryant, Martin, Albert, and Marcia. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Jeremiah LeFave.
Throughout his life, Rick touched many hearts with his quiet witty-humor, endearing laugh, and a generous unwavering spirit. He was a pillar of strength and support to his family providing encouragement, wisdom and humor with boundless love. No words can ever express how profoundly he will be missed. His influence will live on in the memories of all those who knew and loved him.
A service to honor Rick's life will be held at Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, NH on Tuesday, June 3rd from 5-7 PM. For those who cannot attend in person, a ZOOM ID will be provided on the StockBridge Funeral Home website. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Michael's church in Exeter. Zoom Meeting with The Stockbridge Funeral Home beginning at 6:30 pm EST Meeting ID: 853 9933 1519 Passcode: iwReY2
