Richard Myall Link, 74, of Owensboro went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Charlotte, N. Carolina native was born April 16, 1951, to the late Melvin Robert Link and Margaret Swope Caldwell. Richard attended the University of N. Carolina at Chapel Hill for several years before entering the workforce. He worked in Real Estate and as an appraiser and concluded his employment with R.R. Donnelley & Sons as health issues began to increase. Richard served others in many capacities from being a Scout Leader, Lifeguard Trainer, to working in the Mills Home for Children in Thomasville, NC. Due to his own health struggles, Richard became an advocate and comforter to many others suffering from their own health issues. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed target shooting, tinkering in his garage, riding his motorcycle, and especially spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fifty years, Pam Carter Link; two sons, Steven Link and his wife Lori of Hendersonville, TN and Jason Link and his wife Shena of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Brittany Carlson (Mike), Scott Link, Landon Jones, Loren Greer (Will), Chandler Link, and Branson Link; four great grandchildren; brother, Robert Link and sister, Jane Link; nephew, Ben Link.
