Richard Stephen Lolos

Richard "Dick" Stephen Lolos of Chicopee, Massachusetts, 75, passed away on August 22, 2023. He was born on January 7, 1948 in Springfield, Massachusetts and was the son of late Sophos and Mary (née O'Neill) Lolos. He married his beautiful bride, Linda Lolos (née Megazzini) on April 22, 1988. Dick loved spending time playing cornhole and cribbage with his family, reading as many books as possible, watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, old black and white Westerns, and the Red Sox beat the Yankees. He also enjoyed coaching Sunday softball for the Windsor Café, where he spent time with many wonderful friends and family members. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1971 on the USS Spinax, and worked 25 years for the Chicopee Fire Department before retiring in January of 2003. Dick loved going to Daytona Beach with his wife, where he went to his eternal rest. He was survived by his loving wife of 35 years Linda Lolos, his sisters Mary and Eileen Lolos, his children Aaron (Liz) Lolos, Paul Lolos, and Nicole Lolos, his granddaughter Erin (Jacob) Lolos, his great-grandchildren Aaliyah and Yamir, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter Rebecca Lolos, his brothers Billy and Tommy Lolos, his father and mother-in-law Ernest and Janet (née Williams) Megazzini, and his beloved dog Molly.
All are welcome to join us for a Celebration of Life which will be held at the Moose Club in Chicopee, MA on September 23, 2023 from 3-7 PM. A eulogy reading will be held at 4:30 PM.
