Richard London III, 64, of West Haven, Connecticut departed this life on August 3, 2022. He was born on January 15, 1958, in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Richard London, Jr., and Regina London.
Richard was affectionately known as Ricky, and Big Rick by his friends and family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and infectious personality. Ricky was very charismatic, and his smile lit up a room. He took great pride in his style and the way he dressed. He was particularly fond of his hats. Ricky's favorite song was Devotion by Earth, Wind and Fire. You could often hear him singing the lyrics out loud. He had an avid love of sports, specifically his favorite New York teams- the Knicks, Giants, and Yankees. Fishing was one of Ricky's favorite past times, and he loved fishing off the West Haven pier. Ricky was strong in his Catholic faith. He departed this life leaving a lasting impact on everyone he knew.
Ricky was a family man and a dedicated father. He is survived by his three loving sons, Richard London IV, Scott Martin London, and Alexzander Joseph London. All of who he was very proud of. He would share stories of each of their accomplishments with anyone willing to listen.
He also leaves behind three grandchildren that he adored, Tanayja Brianna London, Jordan Cardan London, and Richlyn Journey London; his two devoted brothers, Martin London and Glenn London; two doting sisters, Karen London-Melendez and Gail D. Patterson; and his beloved Aunt Dot (James) Mills, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ricky was predeceased by his loving brother, Allen London.
