Richard Lucas Obituary

Published by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home - Downtown Chapel on Oct. 12, 2019.

Richard was born on March 3, 1932 and passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019. He attended elementary school and high school in Phoenix and graduated from Arizona State University. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict and earning the Purple Heart in combat. Visitation will be held Monday, October 14, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. A private family burial will be held. Memorials may be made to Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 525 Taylors Rd., Taylors, SC 29687, or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
