With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Richard G. McLemore, affectionately known as "Mac," who departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Mac made his home in Flowery Branch, Georgia, where he embraced life fully, surrounded by the family and friends he cherished most.
From the age of 14, Mac found his voice through music, taking up the drums and embracing a lifelong passion that never wavered. His love for rhythm and melody was a constant presence in his life, bringing joy not only to himself but to all who had the pleasure of hearing him play.
A passionate supporter of his favorite teams, Mac proudly served as President of the Braves 400 Club for several years-an experience he held close to his heart. He was also a loyal Georgia Bulldogs fan, a tradition he proudly passed down to his family.
Mac dedicated his time in the men's fashion industry, working at several distinguished menswear shops in Marietta and Atlanta. He also fulfilled his entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating two menswear stores, including one in partnership with a coach from the Atlanta Braves in Roswell.
Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph McLemore Jr. and Joan Burdick McLemore.
Above all, Mac was a man devoted to his family. He shared 28 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Denise "Dee" Tullis McLemore, building a life grounded in laughter, faith, and unconditional love. He was a proud father to Rhett McLemore, Shauna Snyder (Chris), and Zach Turner (Trish), and a doting grandfather to Cole, Kaylin, Reagan, and Addison Snyder, and Wyatt Turner. The arrival of his great-granddaughter, Karelyn Snyder, brought him immense joy and completed a legacy of love that will live on through generations. Also surviving Mac is his loving brothers, He is survived by his loving brothers, Stuart McLemore (Kathy) and Harold McLemore (Pam), and by a large extended family who will miss his warmth, laughter, and steady presence.
Mac was also a man of intellect and curiosity. A lifelong learner, he was passionate about reading and remained actively engaged with current events and politics. He was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church and a dedicated participant in the Marietta Jaycees, where his generosity, humor, and leadership left a lasting impression.
