Richard Mears Obituary
Dr. Mears dedicated his professional life to the field of psychology, serving as a psychologist with the Virginia State Mental Institution. Throughout his career, he was committed to the well-being and care of his patients, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Wendy C. Talmage Mears, as well as his parents, Richard Walter Mears, Sr. and Mildred Bell Mears. Dr. Mears is survived by his son, Jonathan Clark Talmage Mears, and his wife, Gemma, of Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind his cherished grandson, Ian.
A service to honor Dr. Mears's life will be held at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, at a later date. His family and friends will gather to remember a life marked by dedication and love.
