It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother, son, and friend Richard John Mitcham Jr. Richard is survived by his parents Richard John Mitcham Sr., Marilyn Janet Mitcham, and his stepmother, Linda Ruth Mitcham. He is also survived by two brothers, Ray Mitcham (and his wife, Mary), Scott Maynard (and his wife, Carrie), one sister, Jennifer O'Keefe (and her husband Mike), as well as nieces and nephews.
Richard was born on September 22, 1965 in Redwood City, CA., living there until he moved to Newcastle, CA at the age of 15. Since that time, Richard has lived in the greater Auburn area until his death on December 27th, 2024 at the age of 59.
Richard graduated from Placer High school, and soon thereafter began working for the Coca Cola corporation as a refrigeration specialist. After many years with Coke, Richard worked for Raleys on their supermarket refrigeration systems. Richard loved scuba diving, fishing, and practicing his aim at the local shooting range. He loved spending time with family, and his banana cream pie was the stuff of legend.
We will be celebrating the life of Rich Jr. on Saturday January 25, 2025 at 2pm at the OKeefe's in Fair Oaks , CA.
