Richard Donald "Dick" Mumm

We are sad to announce the passing of Richard "Dick" Donald Mumm on October 19, 2025.

Dick was born on December 3, 1937, in Los Angeles to Leslie and Eloise Mumm.

The family moved to Bellingham where he attended Elementary, Middle school, and Bellingham High School, where he graduated in 1956. Following his education, Dick began a long and dedicated career with Georgia Pacific, where he worked for 37 years until his retirement.

Dick married Susan Mumm (Graham) on September 24, 1971, in Ferndale, Washington.

In the 1960s, Dick was a member of a Jeep enthusiast club. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family and driving around in his Jeep. He also liked fishing and spending summers at the family cabin on Waldron Island.

Dick enjoyed being around people and talking with everyone. He valued time spent with his sons and grandchildren. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for more than 50 years.

In later years, after developing dementia, Dick became a quieter man but remained deeply loved by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Mumm; his sons, Bradley Mumm (Jill) and Cory Mumm (Rachael); his grandchildren, Cody, Hunter, Tessa, Jackson, and Grace; and his brother, Brian Mumm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Eloise Mumm, and his sister-in-law, Carol Mumm.

Dick will be laid to rest at a private family gathering at Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Bellingham Moose Lodge #493, located at 150 West Axton Road #4. Friends and family are welcome, and encouraged to attend.
