Richard Newbolt

Richard Stanley Newbolt, 68, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on September 21, 2021 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on October 2, 1952 son of the late James and Roberta (Smith) Newbolt. Richard was a wonderful handyman and was a United States Navy veteran. He was a member of Giltedge Baptist Church and loved reading his Bible. Richard enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
Richard is survived by his three daughters, Taren Newbolt and LaRhonda Scott (Clarence), Nicole Turner; son, Dominique Jenkins; sisters, Debra Taylor (Darrol), Alicia Smith (Rodney), Kathy Coley (Ebou), Juanita Newbolt-Griffin; brother, Lamont Tharpe; along with 11 grandchildren, Alexis, T.J., Cya, Da'Suan, Deyton, Triniti, Demond, Caleb, Esther, Six, Nefertiti ; a host of nieces and nephews and one great grandbaby on the way, Roman. Richard had a large family that loved him very much.
There will be a visitation held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 11-1pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial will follow at Eastern Cemetery
