Richard D. Nowak

Richard D. Nowak, 85, of Hinckley passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023. He was born September 24, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Kasimir and Genevieve Nowak.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960 and retired from LTV Steel in 2000 after 40 years of service. Richard was a devoted Christian and dedicated his life to Jesus Christ.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen, sons, Ricky Nowak and Robert (Jennifer) Johnson; daughters, Melissa, Lori Ann, Jeanie, and Jessica Nowak; grandchildren, Brandon, Luke, Brooke, Olivea and Dylan; sisters, Deborah Holub, Dolly Sissom, Marilyn Hamila, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James and David Nowak, sisters, Dorothy, Margaret, and Barbara.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, at Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Medina, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx) in Medina, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with Dr. Al Davis officiating. Burial with military honor conducted by the U.S. Navy will follow at 2:15 PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. PLEASE MEET AT THE FUNERAL HOME TO GO IN PROCESSION TO THE CEMETERY AT 1:45 PM. Care for Richard was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Medina, Ohio.
