Richard Osso Obituary

Richard was a Police Officer and then Detective for the Shelton Police Department before his retirement after 26 years of service. Upon his retirement, he became an Investigator for the Chief State's Attorney office of Connecticut for 20 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and especially loved spending time with his family, traveling, and meticulously taking care of his yard.
Richard was the father of Michael Osso (Jessica) and Andrea Byrne (Joe Mogollon), the cherished grandfather of Andrew, Justin, Tyler, Haley, Cristian and Ava, the brother of James Osso (Elissa), Rosanne Cole (Michael), Marilyn Proto, Michele Proto (Ralph), Janet Jennings (Randy), Marie Mollo (Ben), and Michael Proto (Kim), brother-in-law of Andrew David (Emma), and also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as dear lifelong friends Bert and Jim Guarrera.
On Wednesday September 20, friends may go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave, Shelton at 10 AM for Richard's Memorial Funeral Mass. Online condolences may be left for Richard's family at www.riverviewfh.com.
