Richard Porte Obituary
Richard was born on April 28, 1941, in Yugoslavia, the son of Johann and Anna (Biebel) Porte. He married Elfriede (Stangl) Porte in 1963 in Chicago, and she survives in Alma.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Grapenthin and husband Bret of Crystal Lake; and two grandsons, Justin Grapenthin and Jason Grapenthin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johann and his mother and stepfather, Anna and Leopold Bumgartner.
Richard has served his country in the United States Army. He had retired from World Color Press where he worked as an electrician and in the maintenance department.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.

My heart is broken. Rich was like my father for 42 years. He got me started in my career by teaching me how to invest. He was a guiding light in my life. There will not be a single day that I won't miss you. Love you Uncle Rich!
