Richard Raymond Quinto, Sr., 82, of Bristol, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Born in Bristol on March 14, 1943, the son of the late Raymond J. and Ann (Roebuck) Quinto.
Richard was the devoted husband of Patricia (Palazzo) Quinto, with whom he shared 61 loving years. A lifelong resident of Bristol, he attended local schools and graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1961.
He worked at General Electric in Plainville for 37 years before retiring. Richard was also an active member of the Bristol Fish & Game Club and the Jacklin Rod & Gun Club. Growing up as a Boy Scout, Richard would go on to serve as Den Leader for Pack 433 and a Webelos leader.
Most of all Richard loved camping, boating, fishing with his family and friends, cooking, and gardening. He enjoyed traveling to upstate New York to fish for salmon and loved going to Disney with his family, staying at the French Quarter Resort. He also was passionate about cars; he would attend car shows and was in the process of restoring a 1984 Corvette. He will surely be missed by all that knew him.
Besides his wife, Patricia, Richard is survived by his two sons Richard Quinto Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Christopher Quinto and his wife Kelly, both of Bristol; two grandchildren Dylan and Reilly Quinto who he both loved with all his heart; in-laws Rose Sutter and Bob and Janet Palazzo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Richard is predeceased by his brother David Quinto, grandson Nicholas Quinto, and niece Amanda Quinto.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4PM until 7PM at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol.
