A Memorial Service for Richard “Rich” L. Wiegand Jr. will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. R. Henry Martin.
Rich was born on September 11, 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana and passed away on the morning of Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was part of a father and son driving team known as Wiegand Racing. While known as a true “everything man”, that could fix anything, his specialty was in tile and flooring. He enjoyed RC car racing, drag racing and sailing. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. To know him, was to love him and he will be truly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Joan Wiegand; two children, Carlie Wiegand and fiancé, Drake Lovell and Taylor Wiegand, and one grandchild, Aubrey Lovell.
The family requests, if you attend the service, please bring your favorite stories or memories of Rich to share.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Shreveport Rescue Mission, 901 McNeil Street., Shreveport, LA 71101.
