Richard Sargent Obituary
Flint
Age 57, passed away January 19, 2024. Funeral services will be held 1PM Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden (A live Stream of the service will be available on Rick's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Robert Lindsay officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11AM Wednesday until the time of service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Those desiring may make contributions to Argentine Church of the Nazarene, 16248 S. Seymour Road, Linden, MI 48451 or Quality Living Systems, 6060 Torrey Road, Flint, MI 48507. Richard was born March 7, 1966 in Flint, the son of Richard Wayne, Sr. and Jerrell Ann (Wade) Sargent. He was a graduate of the Elmer Knopf Learning Center in Flint. He had resided in Flint for the past 30 years coming from Linden. Rick was employed by Vocational Independence Program in Flint. He enjoyed music, cars and flowers. He is survived by his mother, Jerrell "Jerrie" Sargent; sister, Sherry Keeler; nephew, Matthew (Mandalyn) Keeler and their children, Marin, Westry and Benen of Norton Shores. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Sargent in 2004; father, Richard Wayne Sargent, Sr. in 2023; and brother-in-law, Bruce Keeler in 2020 . He was a good guy to hangout with when he was a very cool guy in school and he was a schoolmate of mine and he's always been a great bowler for the special needs bowling league called the terminators and also during the years of doing special Olympics
