February 19, 2024, in Cairo, New York, at the age of 76. He was born on April 20, 1947, in Albany, NY to lillian Vaness (2008) and david Ryan(1989) Richard could light up a room with his unique sense of humor, killer dance moves, and a thirst for life. He was a loving father and cherished member of his family.
Richard had a fulfilling career working in various occupations throughout his life. He eventually retired from the City of Albany Water Department and finally City Hall. In his free time, he enjoyed long drives in the country with whoever was along for the ride. Fishing and hunting were his favorite hobbies, bringing him much joy and relaxation.
He is survived by his children and 2 daughters in love,Tamicka and Tamarra Koonce, Natishia Ryan, Richard Ryan Jr., Ranada Ryan, Jamie Resto, Donya Ryan, and Chinessa Ryan. Richard is preceded in death by his oldest sister, Carletha Stutz, his brother David Ryan, 16 grandchildren, and over a dozen great-grandchildren.
Richard Thomas Ryan, "Daddy Rich", will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest peacefully.
