Richard William "Dick" Santner, 80, of Topeka, KS, died Monday, October 27, 2025 at Advent Healthcare, Merriam, KS. "Dick" was born December 27, 1944 at Minneapolis, MN, the son of Ulric and Rita B. VanSadelhof Santner. He was a 1964 graduate of Bergen High School in Fremont, NE. He earned his master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation at Emporia State University in 1972. Starting his career, he worked for the State of Kansas as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor before working on his own and retiring in 2018 after 46 years.

Dick was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden and a member and 4th degree Knight of Knights of Columbus Meriden Council. He was a former member and active participant of Ducks Unlimited of Kansas.

He married Ruth Ann Brown on February 5, 1977 at Lillis, KS, she survives at home. He is also survived by three daughters, Kelli (Keith) Lake, Lawrence, Katrina "Kati" (Matt) D'Orvilliers, Overland Park, Erin (Alex) Olson, North Kansas City, MO, one brother, Jim Santner, Ft. Collins, CO, three sisters, Pat Carlson, Denver, CO, Jane Mannion, Lake Arrowhead, CA, Barb Santner, Reno, NV, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harry Santner and Tom Santner.

Cremation Care is planned. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Meriden. Memorials suggested to the Heartland Sertoma Club in care of Barnett Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 602, Oskaloosa, KS 66066.
