Richard C. Sidelinger

Richard C. Sidelinger, age 79, a lifelong resident of Shelton peacefully entered into rest surrounded by his loving family in his home on Sunday February 18, 2024. He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Roseann (Donofrio) Sidelinger. He was born in Portland, Maine on October 27, 1944 the son of the late Herbert and Barbara (Seaman) Sidelinger. Rich spent his working years as an Iron Worker before his retirement. He was very mechanically inclined and had a passion for racing cars. He would often race at the Dover Dragstrip in Wingdale, New York.
Besides his wife Roseann, Rich is survived by his children Richard Sidelinger and his wife Mary, Ronald Sidelinger and his wife Maria, and Raymond Sidelinger, his grandchildren Richard J. Sidelinger, Jr., Nicholas Sidelinger, and Leo Sidelinger as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to greet Rich's family on Tuesday February 20 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. His funeral service will begin in the funeral home at 7 PM. His burial will be privately held with his immediate family in attendance. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Richard's honor to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
