Richard Sievert Obituary
Dick was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor. He spent most of his time playing softball back in the 70's and 80's. He was inducted into the 1960-1984 State of Ohio Slow Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. Dick also spent a lot of his free time as an umpire for softball & volleyball, as well as a coach for the Oak Harbor track team. Dick loved being "the voice" for the Oak Harbor Rockets High School basketball games as an announcer, for over 30 years.
Survivors include his children: Michael W. Sievert and Cassandra R. (James) White, both of Elmore, OH; grandchildren: Ryan, Samantha, Michael, and Nicholas Sievert, Connor, Emilee and Joseph Barr, and Elijah White; and brother Don Sievert of Graytown, OH. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law Jeannine Sievert.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, Port Clinton Chapel, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452. A Memorial Service will begin at 1pm Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the Funeral Home with burial to be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor at a later date and held privately by the family. Memorial Contributions may be given to: Oak Harbor Athletic Boosters. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.neideckercrosserpriesman.com.
