Mr. Lamar Spradlin, 72, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his home.
Born July 29, 1952 in Hogansville, Mr. Spradlin was the son of the late Betty Ann Smith Spradlin and Benjamin Frank Spradlin. He was a 1972 graduate of Hogansville High School, worked for Georgia Power for 38 years, and was a resident of Jackson for the past 13 years. Mr. Spradlin was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jackson where he was active in the men's club and served on the building committee. He loved to quail hunt, play golf, and truly cared for people and tried to love everybody.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Spradlin of Jackson; son and daughter in-law, Jeremy and Courtney Spradlin of Toccoa; grandchildren, Benjamin Cutter Spradlin, AvaGrace Spradlin, and Hudson Lamar Spradlin; a nephew he treated as a son, Brandon Spradlin of Hampton and his daughter, Sydney; sister, Jan Wade of Hogansville; and a brother and sister in-law, Richard and Debbie Wade of LaGrange. In addition to his parents, Mr. Spradlin was preceded in death by his brother, Wiley Spradlin; and his birth father, Duke Wiley Wade.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, at the graveside in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County with Pastor Owen Skinner officiating.
The family will greet friends in the Union Baptist Church fellowship hall following the service.
