Richard Neal Starks, 87, of Troy, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023. He was born on December 22, 1935, in Centreville, Illinois. Richard got saved in May 1959, and was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church in Troy, MO. Richard retired from Boeing after 50 years of dedicated service. He will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Melba Starks of Troy, his 3 sons: Rick Starks and his wife, Shawn, of Warrenton, Randy Starks and his wife, Mary, of Warrenton, and Rob Starks of Warrenton, brothers: Wesley Starks of Granite City, IL, James Pervil of Medford, Oregon, 4 grandsons: Cory, Cody, Robby, Dusty Starks, all of Warrenton, 3 granddaughters: Becky, Amber, Amilyn Minor and her husband, Austin, Many other relatives and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by: his parents, his daughter, Denice Starks Schmitt, brothers: Charles Heney Jr, Fred Starks, Edward Starks, Harold Starks, Howard Starks, sisters: Frances Guess, Virginia, Carol Peebles, and Judy.
Visitation to be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244.
A funeral service to also be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home in Troy. Pastor Phillip Sherwood, and Phillip Parker to officiate. Interment will be private, at the Ellington City Cemetery, Ellington, MO. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital c/o the funeral home. Friends and family are invited to visit our website at mccoyblossomfh.com to sign the on-line guest register.
