Richard "Dick" Stohlmann
March 30, 1951 – November 12, 2025

Richard "Dick" Stohlmann was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Robert and Jean Stohlmann. He shared a lifetime of love and devotion with the love of his life, Janice, whom he married on October 27, 1974. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and love, and were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Lea Beth and Lora, who brought them immense pride and happiness.

Richard had a passion for life, enjoying playing pool, listening to music, camping, riding motorcycles, woodworking, and hosting family and friend game nights. He was known for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and competitive spirit, always giving his best in everything he did. A hard-working man, Richard retired from Publix after many years and also worked for the Department of Correction, where he retired after dedicated service. His love for family and friends was evident in everything he did, and he treasured the moments spent with those closest to him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Stohlmann; daughters Lea Beth Boone and Lora Phillips (Jessie); grandchildren Mark Boone (Alyssa) and Kenleigh Boone Byrd (Caleb); and great-granddaughter Ellison Boone. He is also survived by his brother Mike Stohlmann (Sharon), sister Donna Failes, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends who became like family.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jean Stohlmann, and his brother, James Stohlmann.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 15, 2024, at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Haven Hospice or VITAS Hospice Care.

Richard will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
