Visitation for Richard A. Stolfa, 92, a longtime resident of Arlington Heights, will be on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 201 N. Northwest Hwy. Palatine. The Interment will be private at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Dick was born on July 11, 1933, to Frank and Teresa Stolfa. He passed away at home on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Dick dedicated over 50 years of his life to his work as a printer at Service Web in Chicago, where his commitment and strong work ethic left a lasting impression. He also served his country with honor after being drafted into the U.S. Army.

A man of many talents and endless resourcefulness, Dick was often called the "original MacGyver" for his ability to fix just about anything. His helpful nature earned him the nickname "Boy Scout" among those who knew him best. Whether it was lending a hand or offering a clever solution, Dick was always ready to assist.

He found joy in simple pleasures—resale shops, landscaping, gardening, and spending time outdoors. An avid woodworker, he took pride in creating with his hands and sharing his craftsmanship with others.

Dick’s vibrant personality made him the life of every gathering. Known for his humorous shirts, quirky hats, and playful wigs, he brought laughter wherever he went. His kind heart, calm demeanor, and unwavering positivity touched everyone around him.

Dick was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Stolfa of 62 years; loving father of Eileen (Jamie) Munce, Carol (Larry) Nisle, William Stolfa (Boyka Toshkova), Judy (Robert) Ramsey, Lisa (Robert) Biancalana; cherished grandfather of Sarah, Larry Jr., Michelle, Nicole, Stephanie, Will, Ryan, Lauren, Tony, Daniel and Theresa; fond great-grandfather of Jordan, Max, Jack, Colton, Mack, Cayden and Madelyn; and dear brother of James Stolfa (Pam Conner). Additionally, he is survived by and will be missed by Murphy and all his granddogs.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bob, Joan, Marie, and Rita.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association or Second City Canine Rescue.
