Richard Page "Page" Towne ObituaryLitchfield - Richard Page Towne, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, after a short illness at Sharon Hospital.
Born on July 2, 1942, in Torrington, CT, Page was the son of the late Bob and Dorothy Towne. A graduate of Wamogo High School in 1960, Page briefly attended college before deciding to serve his country in the United States Air Force, where he met his beloved wife, Linda. After five years of service, they returned to Connecticut, where they raised their family and spent the next 60 years of their lives. Page worked in construction for over 40 years before retiring.
The most cherished aspect of Page's life was always his family. He loved spending time with them, particularly on family vacations. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed golfing and fishing. Page lived most of his life in Morris, CT, where he found some of his happiest moments.
Page is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Medlin Towne, with whom he just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his son, Tom Towne of Brooksville, FL, and grandson, Jacob Towne; his daughter, Stephanie Round and her husband Geoffrey, of Litchfield, and grandson, Gunnar Round; his brother, Alan Towne and his wife Pat, of Morris; his sister, Cheryl Towne, of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews. Page was predeceased by his brother, Robert Towne Jr.
A celebration of Page's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the VFW or The American Legion.
