Obituary For Richard Lee Wright
Richard Lee Wright was born on November 12, 1969 in Hollywood, FL to Eddie Lee Wright and the late Martha Samuel Portee. Richard was an individual that was loved by his family. He attended the local schools of Martin County and graduated from South Fork High School in 1988. In his adult life to support himself and his family, he worked as a commercial roofer for Axion Construction, Childers Roofing & Sheet Metal, and BBG Contracting. He also worked in the nursing industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing, traveling, spending time with his children and family, baseball, and working.
On May 6, 2023, the book of life was closed for Richard Lee Wright. He was preceded in death by his mother: Martha Samuel Portee; stepfather: Elliotte Portee; brothers: Eddie Lee Wright, Jr. and Tommie Lee Portee; grandparents: Junior Samuel and Hattie Mae Odom Samuel, Eddie Wright and Mamie Lue; aunts: Mary Samuel Wilson and Louisiana Wright; uncles: Lee Samuel, Charlie Samuel, Willie Samuel, and John Fuzz.

Public visitation for Richard Lee Wright will take place on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Evergreen First Baptist Church in Indiantown, FL. Funeral Services will convene on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Evergreen First Baptist Church in Indiantown, FL beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Port Mayaca Cemetery.
Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
