Rick Ewell Casey

Dr. Rick Ewell Casey, of Idabel, OK and Harrison, AR, passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 74. Rick lived life to the fullest, up to his last day on this beautiful earth. He was passionate about many things, including his love for family and his love for nature and the outdoors. One of his greatest joys was hiking or riding a Razor Side by Side on a challenging trail.

The only son and the pride and joy of Joel Dean Casey and Adrian Armstrong Casey of Paris, TX, Rick grew up in Paris and attended Paris schools. He graduated from Austin College in Sherman, TX. It was at Paris High School that he met his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Cyndee Miles Casey, the daughter of Dr. Jim Miles and Pat Miles of Paris. Together, they forged their way through medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Some of their happiest memories were created raising their three children at the family home in Harrison, AR.

Rick loved his profession as an OB/GYN physician in Paris, Harrison, and Idabel, OK. He later opened Valliant Weight-Loss Clinic in Valliant, OK, where he enjoyed helping patients successfully maintain healthy lifestyles.

Rick attended The Church of Southeast Oklahoma in Garvin, Oklahoma.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Adrian Casey. He is survived by his wife, Cyndee Casey. Their children include Ashton Casey and wife Jessica of Orlando, FL, Trevor Casey of Benton, TN, and Dr. Chandy Randall and husband Jonathan of Sterling Ranch, CO. Grandchildren are Sawyer Casey, Amelia Randall, Bryson Randall, and Kaia Casey.

A funeral service will be held at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris, TX on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
