Rick R. Ross, 75, a resident of Round Lake Park, IL passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023 at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL with both his daughters by his side. He was born December 19, 1947 in Chicago, IL to Robert and Shirley Ross.
Rick was a lifelong Illinoisan and proud member of the Chicago Carpenters Union Local No. 58 with over 55 years vested. He enjoyed golf, friends and his grandchildren during his retirement. Rick was a huge Chicago sports fan. He was a proud supporter of the University of Illinois especially the Men's Basketball team, both the Chicago Cubs, the White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks and of course his beloved and often infuriating Chicago Bears.
Rick is survived by his daughters Alisa (Ben) Palmer and Nicole (Matt) Anderson, his grandchildren Clarisa Palmer, Emmit Palmer, Dylan Anderson and Drake Anderson, and his sister Judy (Dave) Klekovic and her children. He was preceded in death by his parents and his favorite Aunt Lois Ross.
A celebration of life will be held during the Bears/Vikings Game on October 15th, 2023 at Four Coyne's Bar & Grill in Round Lake Park from 12 pm until 4pm. Bears gear encouraged and supervised children welcome. Please stop by when it works for you to share a fun memory of Rick.
