Rick Waller was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, December 10th, 1980, the son of Russell and Debbie Dillard Waller. Rick departed from this life and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, September 11th, 2025, at the age of 44 after an extended, courageous battle with cancer.

The Celebration of Life Service, conducted by Pastor David Calhoun, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Thursday, September 18th, 2025 at 04:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, September 18th from 01:00 p.m. until time of service.

In addition to his parents, left behind to cherish his memory include: his loving wife, Kayla Waller; his children, Brianna (Eric) O'Sullivan, Kaitlyn Waller, and Jackson Waller; his brother, Jason Waller; his mother and father in-law, Donna France and Kenneth France; his sister-in-law, Amanda (Bill) Laux; and his nieces and nephews, Zara Moore, Karlee Waller, Nossia Corona-Reyes, Isaiah Frye, and Elizabeth Laux.

He was reunited with his sister, Sandi Waller; his niece, Hailey Daly; and his maternal and paternal grandparents, Barbara and Kenneth Dillard and Bill and Estelle Chapman.

Hard work was in Rick's blood, and he quickly began working in the construction business after graduating high school where he served under several various companies including: D & M Construction, Vulcan Construction Materials, LLC, Nyrstar Mine, and Jones Bros Contractors, LLC. Aside from his professional life, Rick was an All-American, down to earth, family man. His world revolved around his wife and children, being present in whatever they did or wherever they traveled to. Rick had a huge heart and he was always looking for ways to help his community. He was the type that would stop on the side of the road to help you if in need or just strike up a conversation with you in a random grocery store. Rick never met a stranger and the reflection of the life he lived shows that.

A sports fanatic, Rick enjoyed all things sports, mainly football and Nascar racing. You could always guarantee he was cheering on The Vols, his favorite team. Most importantly, Rick was a longtime active member of Life Church in Lebanon, Tennessee, where he served on the worship team and helped in the children's ministry. He lived every day of his life looking forward to the promise of Heaven.

Rick will be remembered for his sense of humor, his caring spirit, and the love he gave to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but we rejoice knowing Rick is in Heaven redeemed and restored because of his relationship with Jesus Christ.
