Rickey Aaron Billmeyer, 17, of Dubuque, IA, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. There will be a visitation held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. There will be a private family burial held at a later date.
Rickey was born on June 21, 2006 in Dubuque, Iowa to George Billmeyer and Missy Crooks. He attended Hempstead High and Southwestern High School where he played football. Rickey enjoyed fishing, hiking, swimming, camping and being outdoors. He was a boy scout and an avid video game player. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Rickey's memory include: his mom, Missy Crooks. His father, George Billmeyer. Two brothers, Zane Janzig and Daniel Billmeyer. His grandparents, Rickey and Mary Billmeyer, Anna and Kevin Eggers, and Richard (Noreen) Crooks. Three aunts, Michele (Richie) Van Dasselaar, Marissa Ernzen and Heather Billmeyer. One uncle, Erick (Leslee) Billmeyer. Life long friend/co-op gamer/step-dad, David Janzig. Along with many cousins, Alexander, Jaden, Fala and Holly and his many close friends.
Rickey was preceded in death by his great grandparents and his cousin & best friend Ruben Van Dasselaar. Rickey and Ruben will be chilling on their island in peace watching over us.
The family will thankfully receive your support through greeting cards and memorials in Rickey's memory which may be mailed to Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, Dubuque, Iowa 52001, Attn. Rickey Billmeyer Family.
