Rickie Effinger Obituary
Rick was born on December 4, 1957 in Evansville to the late Albert H. and Janice (Merritt) Effinger. He worked as a project manager for Fluor Enterprises prior to retiring. He was a member of Pipefitters and Steamfitters Local 136 for over 40 years and was a welding instructor at the Local 136 training school for many years. Rick enjoyed watching and supporting his granddaughter Hannah in all of her activities; showing his 1955 Chevy and serving as part of the pit crew on his friend's drag racing team.
Surviving Rick are his wife of 47 years, Donna (Meek) Effinger; daughter, Tarah (Neil) Martin; son, Jason Effinger and granddaughter, Hannah Rae Martin.
Funeral services for Rick will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Gene Backes officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chemo Buddies, 3700 Bellemeade Ave, Suite 118, Evansville, IN 47714.
