Ricky Lee Adams, age 68, passed away on July 13, 2024, after fighting a battle with cancer. He slipped away in his home in Oklahoma City, with his family around him. He was born on January 5, 1956, in Clinton, Oklahoma. His parents were Pleays Lee Adams and Earnestine Crawford-Adams.
He married Kristie Lea Weeden on September 24, 1976. Together they shared almost 48 years. They were blessed with two daughters and one son. They named them Jennifer Marie, Michelle Ranée, and Darrell Lee.
He is a proud papa of 7 grandchildren, Caleb, Rylie, Alysa, Haven, Jacob, Courtney, and Alex. They all loved him beyond measure. He is also blessed with 3 great-granddaughters, Oakley, Deziree, and Scottie.
Everyone that knew Rick would say he was a family man. They would say he was always ready to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. He was a hard worker. Never believed in taking a day, even when he was sick. He provided for his family. Family was most important to Rick. Not just the family that he made, but his whole family. He loved each and every one. He never said a bad word towards anyone. He just knew "everyone is different, and that's okay."
Rick loved softball and played Pitcher in his younger years – and he was good! He was also a huge fan of OU football but look out if they were playing poorly! His favorite times were when he was with his family. He always had a great time when he was around his cousins.
Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, his son, and his siblings Mark, Vicky, and Brenda.
He will be missed by his wife, Kristie, his daughter Jennifer and husband Allen, daughter Michelle and husband Lee Mooney, his grandkids, great-granddaughters, and countless family and friends.
