Service for Ricky Edward Harwell, 66, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 28, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Adam Harwell, Mary Krichick, Trenton Ingram, Guy Morse, Christopher Harwell and Melvin Lauderdale.
Ricky was a cowboy in his much younger years. He loved being a bullrider but put up his spurs and latigo as he entered adulthood and became a father. He never lost his love for rodeo. Ricky enjoyed going to the Ft. Worth stockyards, camping and fishing. He had a strong admiration and love for Bald Eagles. Ricky also had a real knack for telling tall tales…very tall tales. Ricky was a member of Metroplex Church in Burleson.
Ricky is survived by his children, Kristina Morse & Guy of Cleburne, Billy Harwell of Malone, New York, April Harwell of Cleburne, Adam Harwell of Cleburne; brothers, Thomas Earl Harwell, Michael Harwell and Raymond Harwell; grandchildren, Nakana Bowling, Trenton Wade, Marilyn Krichick; great-grandchildren, Ezra Ingram, Layla Adolf and Sharla Sue Cudd.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nell Harwell and brother, Curtis Harwell.
