Ricky V. Mitchell

Ricky V. Mitchell, 72, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away March 26, 2026. He was born October 13, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Junior and Ruth (Aldrich) Mitchell. He married Aidee Mezano on November 20, 1994 and she survives in Whitehouse.

Rick was a 1971 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School. He loved the Whitehouse community and was a supporter of all Anthony Wayne Athletics. He especially enjoyed his daily visits with friends at the Whitehouse American Legion and spending his days at the White Pines golf course.

Rick was a devoted family man - there was nothing he loved more than the time he spent with them. Rick was a champion in any sport he played, especially baseball, cross country, basketball and golf. He was always making a competition out of anything and everything. In his younger days, you would find him out on the softball field, or at a billiards table somewhere around Toledo.

Rick also enjoyed chasing his next hole-in-one on the golf course, playing dart ball, cooking for his friends and family, and playing cards. He was the friendliest man - always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile to anyone in need. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Ohio State Buckeye's fan.

Along with his wife Aidee, of 31 years, Rick is survived by his children David Richards, Rachel (Brian) Fetchik, Bob Mitchell, Leah (Alexander) Adams, Ashley (Chance) VanZandt and James Mitchell as well as grandchildren Ashley, Jennifer, Christopher, William, Russell, Belle, Emma and DaniLee. He is also survived by his former wife Lesley (Rodney) Morris, who remained his close family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers James Caldwell, Junior Mitchell and Ronald Mitchell.

Rick was the rock of his family, the MVP in the eyes of his kids; always present at every game and event. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in his adored grandchildren and everyone that knew him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 31, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 6603 Providence St. Whitehouse, Ohio 43571. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to The Whitehouse American Legion or the Anthony Wayne Athletic Boosters.
