In Loving Memory of Rilla Sue Davenport Stogsdill
On July 18,2025, Rilla Sue Davenport Stogsdill peacefully entered her eternal home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by her loving family, Sue’s final moments were filled with the laughter of her great-granddaughters, Rilynn and Willow – bringing a final smile to her face.
Sue is survived by her devoted son Thomas Davenport, Sr. and daughter-in-law Tammy; grandchildren Aron Davenport, Ryan Panknin, Zac Smith, Caleb Sassen, and Cassidy Smtih; and her beloved great-grandchildren Camway and Jemma Davenport, Rilynn Panknin, and Willow Sassen. Over the past 8 months, her family was blessed to care for her, cherishing every moment.
At 82 years old, Sue fulfilled a lifelong dream of seeing the ocean with a special trip to Myrtle Beach. She attended Judah Tabernacle in Columbus, Ohio, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Though life brought many challenges, Sue’s family finds comfort in knowing her suffering has ended and she is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
