Sean Michael Stogsdill passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep connections that touched everyone who knew him.
Born a twin, Sean shared a special bond with his brother Shane Stogsdill, a relationship that remained strong throughout his life. He was a son, a brother, a father, and a friend-roles he embraced with his whole heart.
Sean is predeceased by his brother Ralph, and sisters Kelly and Marcia Ann. He is survived by his loving mother, Marcia Brown, and his father, Ralph Smith. He also leaves behind his siblings: Shane, Daniel, Benjamin, Marilyn, Travis, and Gina; and many nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom will carry his memory forward with love and pride.
Above all, Sean was a devoted father to his two cherished children, Aubrielle and Theodore. They were the light of his life and his greatest joy.
Sean's presence was magnetic-he had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether through a shared joke, a kind gesture, or simply his steady presence, he made a difference. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the laughter of his children.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. on April 26, 2025 at Hollomon-Brown, Great Bridge Chapel, and will be immediately followed by a graveside at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Sean's memory by extending kindness to someone in need, spending time with your loved ones, and holding your people close.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
