James C. Todd, Jr., 90, of Chesapeake, Virginia, entered his heavenly home on Sunday, August 31, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born April 10, 1935 in Norfolk, Virginia to James C. Todd, Sr. and Irene Powers Todd.

He was a farmer for over 40 years, loved spending time with family and was adored by all who knew him. Jimmy was an avid golfer and, after retirement, enjoyed living part time in Florida as well as traveling with his wife and friends. He could often be found relaxing in his recliner watching a golf match or his beloved Washington Nationals.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years, Jean Whedbee Todd; sons, Dana Todd of Chesapeake; Jeff Whedbee (Sharon) of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Lindsay Barnum (Mike), Jesse Todd (Christina), Jenny Culcasi (VJ), Corey Todd, Brandon Whedbee (April), Andrew Whedbee (Amanda) and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Craig T. Todd.

The family would like to thank Wings Over Virginia Hospice and his special caregivers Sherin, Kelly, Gifty, Belinda and Sabrina for their compassion and care.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, on Thursday September 4, 2025 at 11:00am, with a reception to follow. Interment to follow reception at Chesapeake Memorial

Gardens.
