Rita Delina Ban, 67, of Hazel Park, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Rita was born December 6, 1957 in Ferndale to the late Michael and Rita (nee Larch) Greaves.
Rita was the beloved wife to Paul Ban.
Rita loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family, especially her one on one time with her children. She enjoyed taking long walks, dancing, listening to Motown and Prince, and drinking coffee while watching the news. She was a big Detroit sports fan, especially the Lions. Rita was known for her kind heart and would help anyone in need.
Rita is survived by her loving husband Paul; children, Jennifer (Chris) Valinski, Laura Gladys, Paul Ban, Matt (Julie) Ban, Ann (Jon) Patterson, Denise (Eric) Heigl, Rita L. Ban and Christina (Steve) Hill; grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, Katelyn, Brooke, Isabella, Evan, Jordan, Katie, Lucas, Ava, Gavin, Dylan, Dominic, Ethan, Jack, Roman and baby Hill; siblings, Marie (Thomas) Hannenberg, Henora Worden, Michele Myers, Michael (Jennifer) Greaves, Kathleen (Mick) Sullivan, Patrick (Cheryl) Greaves, Richard Greaves and Edward (Martha) Greaves.
Rita is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Rita as well as daughter, Mary Ban.
A funeral Mass honoring Rita will be March 8, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Mount Clemens. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Kaat Funeral Directors, Mt. Clemens.
Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family".
