Rital Joyce Fackler, 90, of Albany, GA, died February 9, 2024 at Willson Hospice House. No services will be held at this time.
Mrs. Fackler was born in Thomaston, GA on May 2, 1933 to Wayne and Sara Dockery. She was raised in Barnesville, GA and graduated from Gordon Military College in Barnesville, GA. Mrs. Fackler married Marcus A. Fackler in 1952 and moved to Columbus, GA and Greenwood, SC. In 1959 she along with her growing family moved to Albany, GA.
Mrs. Fackler was employed as the Director of Admissions at Palmyra Hospital and retired in 1991. Mrs. Fackler was a former member of Sherwood Baptist Church and was a current member of Gillionville Baptist Church. She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother, taught Vacation Bible School and was active in the Sunbeam Missionary Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Aaron Fackler, a son, Marcus Denson Fackler and a grandson, Russell McKinley Fackler.
Survivors include her son, Bruce (Pattie) of Leesburg, GA and a sister, Jackie (Larry) Shrum of Lincolnton, NC, a grandson, David Bruce (Natasha) Fackler, Jr. of Dunwoody, GA and a great-grandson, Hudson David Fackler and a great-granddaughter, Avery Kate Fackler
