Tyler Shane Fackler

We find ourselves gathering together today to celebrate the life of a man whose love, generosity, and adventurous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. Tyler Shane Fackler, affectionately known as Shane or Ty to his loved ones, was a beacon of compassion in a world that often feels too cold. He had a kind and pure heart, the kind that would give the shirt off his back without a second thought. Born on November 15, 1992, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, Tyler carried the spirit of the Mountain State with him wherever he went. His love for the outdoors was evident from his fondness for skydiving in California to his travels, always preferring the open sky and the wind in his hair. As John Muir once said, "In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks," and this was a sentiment that Tyler lived by every day of his life.
After moving to Seaford, Delaware, where he spent the last six years of his life, Tyler continued to paint not just homes, but also the hearts of those around him with his kindness and love. His occupation as a painter was not only a way of earning a living but a testament to his artistic spirit that he used to bring color into the world in more ways than one. His proudest achievement was graduating from James H. Groves High School on August 15th, 2012, which was a testament to his hard work and dedication. In the words of Vincent Van Gogh, "What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?" And Tyler was nothing if not courageous.
Tyler departed this life on May 21st, earning his wings and finding peace beyond this world. Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents Wayne and Barbara King, Sandra Hulslader, Fredrick Rote, Jerry Fackler Sr., and Joann Adams.
Tyler's love for life is deeply missed by his wife Leanna Fackler, three children Khloe Snyder, Evan Valenzuela, and Aiden Fackler. His parents, Angela Simmons and Thomas Rote (Jessica Miller). Grandparents David and Carol Lymaster. Four brothers Kyle Fackler (Amanda), Zachery Fackler (Lori), Rodd Simmons (Danielle), Dakota Rote and one sister Kaydence Rote. Three beloved role models Jerry Fackler Jr. (Mindy), Douglas Eisenhour, and Anton Simmons. Two best friends Robert Young and Travis Reid. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory lives on in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know him. In the end, what mattered most to Tyler were his loved ones and the time he spent outdoors, and living life to the fullest. He was a man who lived his life not by the number of breaths he took, but by the number of moments that took his breath away.
