Rita Arlene Hamm

Rita Arlene Hamm age 82 of Columbus, was born October 13, 1939 to the late Howard and Nancy Edith Vandyke. She passed away September 26, 2022 at home. Rita was married to the late Harold C Hamm Jr. They were married 56 years before his passing on January 25, 2014. Rita graduated from Linden McKinley High Scool in 1955. She was retired from Nationwide Insurance Company after 31 years. Rita enjoyed sewing and working in her flower garden. She loved traveling on cruise ships and many vacations to Hawaii, Florida, Nevada, California, Puerto Rico, Arizona, Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, South Dakota, and Garden of the God's in Colorado. Rita is survived by her daughter Anita L Hamm of Westerville, granddaughter Brittany N Hamm, great-grandchildren Jayden, Eva, Tyee, and Kiara. Also a sister Linda Vandyke of Pataskala. Sister in-law Carol and Lois Vandyke of Westerville, Winona Vandyke of Milford Center, Candy Albertsen of Lewis Center, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Also preceeded in death by brothers Walter (Rose), Kenneth(Marilyn), Everett, Gerald, Herbert and Jerry. Sisters Genevieve Kelsey and Charlotte Sammons. Brothers in-law Kenneth Kelsey and Lloyd Sammons. A special thanks to caregiver Justin Cockrell. A private memorial service with family and friends.
