Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mildred (Sliney) Turbitt. Rita spent many years at home raising her children as a homemaker and also occupied some of her time working at Ann & Hope. She always enjoyed the
simple pleasures in life: a dinner out with her husband, rides to Oakland Beach to sit by the water, and going to the casino. She was devoted to her family and always enjoyed family gatherings for special occasions and holidays. Besides her husband Gino, Rita was the loving mother to Debra (Mark) St. Pierre, Daniel Magnone, Lori (Anthony) Tortolano, and Lisa (Robert) Tella. Cherished Grammie to Briana (David), Shalyn (James), Anthony, Michael, Matthew, Rob, and Nicole; and Great Grammie to Brielle, Fiona, James, and Cole.
She was the dear sister of the late Joan (Norman) Cipriano. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She will be loved and greatly missed by all of us.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's honor may be made to Continuum Hospice at 1350 Division Road, Ste 205, West Warwick, RI 02893. All services will remain private.
