Rita Mason Obituary
She was born on December 26, 1949 in Austell, Georgia to Mr. James Luther Mason and Mrs. Carrie Mae Queen Mason. She worked for the federal government for 36 years. Rita loved NASCAR and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Mason; lifelong friend Joan McGarity.
Rita is survived by her son, Matt Mason (Brooke); grandchildren, Elle Mason, MJ Mason; siblings, Diane Lamb (Dave) and Dollie Ledford; sister-law, Paulette Mason; nieces and nephews, Melessia and John Croker, Lori and Tony Cole, Carla and Ethon Harper, Amanda Bridgers, Josh and Suzanne Mason, David and Sarah Lamb; many other extended family and friends.
Memorial Services for Ms. Mason will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 3 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Davis and Rev. Glen Pittman officiating.
Visitation will be held at Benson Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 P.M. until the time of the service at 3 P.M.
