Rita Reuse

Rita Silman Reuse, 89, of Erie, passed away peacefully, at her residence, Wednesday April 2, 2025. She was born in Bobtown, PA on May 3, 1935 a daughter of the late Harry Silman and Eleanor Babb Silman Wagner.
Rita graduated from East High School in 1953 and went on to work at AM Hearing. Most recently, she proudly worked as a data control supervisor at Zurn Industries for 25 years until her retirement in 1998. Rita enjoyed interior decorating, fashion, clothes, walking the neighborhood with her friend, Barb, and taking drives with her daughter, Pam. She remained young at heart and also loved her cats and McDonald's Big Macs.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Kirk P. Reuse, and two sisters, Florence Piasecki and Marian Carrigan.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Forbes (Ronald) of Erie and Kimberly Reuse of Galveston, TX; one son, Bradley K. Reuse, of Erie; three grandchildren, Becky Hopkinson (Chris), Melissa Bean (Taylor), and Kyle Forbes; three great grandchildren, Emma Bean and Charlie and Dakota Hopkinson; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Saturday April 5th from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
