Mrs. Roathy A. Paylor, age sixty-two, departed this life and entered into eternal rest Friday, April 4, 2025 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was born in Person County November 12, 1962 to the late John Farmer and Mamie Yarborough Farmer and was a member of Mill Hill Baptist Church where she served on the Usher's Ministry and was president of the Missionary Ministry for several years.
She was a 1981 graduate of Person High School and also attended Piedmont Community College where she studied to become a certified nursing assistant.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Bryan Billups and a sister, Sandra Clayton.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her husband, Joe Paylor of the home; children: Deangelo Barnett, Vince Barnett (Danielle), Joann Womack, Kevin McArthur Paylor (Stephanie) and Victoria Lynn Wilkerson, all of Roxboro, North Carolina; grandchild, Aiden Barnett and eight other grandchildren; one niece, Tasha Billups; a sister-in-law, Brenda Billups; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00pm at Mill Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1635 Mill Hill Church Road, Roxboro, North Carolina 27574, with Bishop Clevie Brandon, Pastor at Compassionate Ministries, Incorporated, providing the eulogy and Reverend Danielle Stone, Associate Pastor at Mill Hill Baptist Church, officiating.. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A public viewing and visitation will be Thursday at Cunningham & Associates Funeral Services from 1:00pm to 6:00pm with the family present during the last hour from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Her body will lie in state at the church from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
At other times, the family will receive visitors at her home, 20 Lisa Lane in Roxboro 27573.
