Robbie Dean Shockley, known affectionately as Rob to his friends and family, passed away at the age of 64 in
Nixa, Missouri. Born on August 18, 1961, in
Bloomfield, Iowa, he was a man of great intelligence, optimism, and humor, which he shared generously with all who knew him.
Rob's early life in Bloomfield was filled with the joys of a close-knit family and a community that valued hard work and education. His dedication to his studies led him to the University of Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. This achievement set the stage for a fulfilling career that saw him become a respected pharmacist at Lakeland and Walgreens pharmacy. His professional life was marked by a commitment to his love and passion of being in the pharmacy setting.
Rob's personal life was as rich and vibrant as his professional one. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Baylie Shockley, who was the light of his life. His love and guidance shaped her into the wonderful person she is today. Rob was also a beloved son to Sheralyn and Ronald Shockley, a brother to Ronda Baird and Rusty Shockley, and a cherished friend to many. His family was the cornerstone of his world, and the bonds he shared with each member were unbreakable.
Rob's interests were as tasteful as his personality. He was an avid fan of watching his daughter play softball, and never missed a game. His work was more than just a job; it was a passion, and he approached it with the same vigor and enthusiasm that he did all his pursuits. Rob also had a playful side, known for his goofy pranks that would bring laughter to any room, mostly the pharmacy room. And, of course, there was his love for the band Queen, and todays top hits which could always be heard playing in the background of his car.
To describe Rob as optimistic, intelligent, and funny doesn't quite capture the full essence of the man. He was someone who could light up a room with his smile and wit, who used his intelligence not to boast but to teach and help, and whose optimism lifted the spirits of everyone around him.
Robbie Dean Shockley's legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. His memory will be cherished, his teachings remembered, and his laughter will echo in our stories. We bid farewell to a remarkable man, a loving father, son, brother, and friend. May his soul find eternal peace.
