Robbie Joan “Joani” Taylor, 66, of Saucier, Mississippi passed away July 6, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on January 25, 1958, in Gulfport, Mississippi to the late Wiley and JoAnn Wedgeworth. She was a member of Campground Baptist Church and had several careers as an administrative assistant as well as being an accomplished seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Taylor, Daughter, Phyllis McMillan, parents, and brother, Robert Dewayne Wedgeworth.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Wedgeworth (Bonnie), Douglas Lee Pounds Jr. (Misty), and Anthony McMillan Jr. (Elizabeth); siblings, Wiley Wedgeworth, Jr (Debbie), Joseph Wedgeworth (Lori), and Becky Prewitt; grandchildren, Ashleigh Wedgeworth, Baleigh Wedgeworth, Carrie Wedgeworth, Tyler Wedgeworth, Cailey Malbrough, Emily Pounds, Jace Pounds, Brandon McMillan, Hannah McMillan, and Hunter McMillan; and great grandchildren, Austyn Cook, Charlie Scott, Lucy Malbrough, and baby McMillan (expected Jan. 2025).
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday, July 9th at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday, July 10th at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport with Brother Sam Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
