RobbyE Cates Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Falls Funeral Home & Cremation Center - Wichita Falls on Sep. 21, 2024.
Our beloved mother and Gmaz, RobbyE Renee Cates, went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2024. She was 56.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 28, at 11 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church of God, 412 N. Travis Street, Wichita Falls.
Born January 20, 1968, to Robert and Marge Fougeron, RobbyE was a hard worker with a fighting spirit. She served as a waitress for many years while raising her three children, CaycE, LaycE, and Cole. In her parents' later years, she served selflessly as a caregiver to both. This experience motivated her to continue serving others through home health.
Always the life of the party, she was known for her hearty laugh and for being the queen of prank-pulling. When her children were young, she would take them to wrap houses, asserting that you had to use no fewer than 100 rolls of toilet paper or you simply weren't doing it correctly! She loved to laugh and to make others laugh, and she always joked that she should have become a comedian. She was the heart of her children's home and was honored to be Gmaz to Charlee, Brielle, and Blaze. She enjoyed watching them in their many sports and extracurriculars. And her children and grandchildren never had to wonder if she was in the stands or on the sideline because she was the loudest fan in attendance! Her competitive nature was unrivaled, and her enthusiasm will live on through her children and their passions.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marge Fougeron. We rejoice in imagining the joyful reunion they must have shared!
She is survived by her children, daughter CaycE Beirne and husband Eddie, daughter LaycE Cates, and son Cole Oxford; three grandbabies, Charlee Sullivan and Brielle and Blaze Beirne, all of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Johnny Fougeron and wife Kristin of Cypress, Texas, and David Fougeron and wife Monday from Houston; her aunts and uncles, many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Mya, who was her devoted companion for the last several years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Real Deal Sober Living 1117 Lakestream Dr, Plano, TX, 75075 or to First Pentecostal Church of God.
RobbyE was a beautiful soul. She embraced life fully and loved fiercely. The world is a dimmer place without her light.
